Because of You

Sometimes you drop an acapella in and that's the end of that chapter

Earlier this week, I felt like making a new piece of music. I had an idea of the various soundworlds I wanted to explore. I’d take the warm rhythmic chords of contemporary popular electronic music but mix it with some loose home-recorded percussion to give it an organic feel. Maybe a sense of dread along with the warmth. Think T Bone Burnett meets 90s Scott Walker but with a pop twist.

Anyway, here’s a remix of Kelly Clarkson’s Because of You that I finished 10 minutes ago because I didn’t have anything else ready to share.
